Another busy and memorable Sunday for Baltic Youth FC, with our U9, U10 and U14 sides all in action. Under the guidance of Coach's Aran & Warren (U9), Coach's Justin & Brendan (U10) and Coach's Stuart & Robert (U14), our teams delivered a mix of goals, grit and valuable lessons across the age groups.

U9 – Coach's Aran & Warren Young Baltics Shine

The U9s produced a performance that will live long in the memory. Led by Coach's Aran & Warren, our youngest matchday side delivered an outstanding all-round display, securing a superb 9–0 victory.

From the first whistle, the energy and focus were clear. Every player, in every position, contributed to what was a complete team performance. The defending was disciplined, the midfield play was confident, and the finishing clinical.

After the match, Coach's Aran & Warren told the players that every single one of them deserved the Man of the Match trophy and it was easy to see why. The team pressed together, supported one another and celebrated each goal as a unit. It was football played with joy and togetherness.

Just as important was the attitude throughout. The boys stayed composed, worked hard for each other and showed real maturity in their decision-making.

A huge thank you also goes to the parents for their continued support. The encouragement from the touchline helps create such a positive environment for the players to thrive.

U10 – Coach's Justin & Brendan Side Win a Classic

The U10s, managed by Coach's Justin & Brendan, were involved in a gripping contest that showcased everything grassroots football should be about. Baltic came away with a hard-fought 1–0 win, courtesy of a well-taken goal from Fred.

Justin & Brendan described it as a fantastic game to be part of, and one where the result was secondary to the quality of football on display. Both teams moved the ball well and competed with real intensity.

In the first half, Baltic created several clear opportunities and could easily have found themselves further ahead. The second half, however, tested the team’s resilience. The opposition increased the tempo and pushed hard for an equaliser.

This is where character came to the fore. The players tracked back, defended with discipline and supported one another. Stefania was dependable in goal once again, making crucial saves to preserve the lead.

Player of the Match was awarded to Gully for an influential and hard-working display, while Thabi earned the Captain’s Pick for leadership and commitment.

One moment summed up the spirit of this squad. When Fred scored, every single player – both on the pitch and on the bench – stopped to celebrate together. That unity, especially in a tough contest, speaks volumes about the culture being built within the team under Coach's Justin & Brendan.

U14 – Coach's Stuart & Robert Reflect on a Tough Lesson

For the U14s, led by Coach's Stuart & Robert, it was a challenging afternoon and a reminder of how quickly football can shift.

Baltic controlled much of the first half and, by Stuart & Robert's own reflection, could have been three or four goals ahead before the break. The opportunities were there, and the early performance showed what the team is capable of.

In the second half, however, credit must go to the opposition, who stepped up their intensity and began winning key battles across the pitch. Baltic struggled to secure first balls and only claimed around half of the second balls an area that Stuart & Robert acknowledged has shown some improvement but still needs work.

As frustration grew, the team lost some of its collective structure. The effort and desire were there, but it became more about individual attempts rather than coordinated teamwork.

Despite the result, there are positives to take forward. The fight remains, and the lesson is clear: channel frustration into positive energy and maintain unity under pressure.

Ferdinand's Final Word

Across all three age groups – U9, U10 and U14 – the commitment, passion and pride in wearing the Baltic badge were evident. Whether celebrating a dominant win, grinding out a narrow victory, or learning from a tough defeat, our players continue to grow under the guidance of their dedicated coaches.
